I was born in the fire. Raised in a home of pain, confusion, abuse, and utter despair, I became a master of wearing a mask so no one could tell the pain I carried, and eventually stuffed it down so deep, I almost forgot myself… almost that is. The truth is no one can out run or out perform our pain. Eventually it becomes all consuming and that’s when we reach for something to hopefully take the pain away. For me it was addiction and unhealthy relationships. Whatever your go to is, it will never be enough to free you from the sense of heavy dread that sneaks up when you’re least expecting it. I know the way out, and I’m on a mission to walk with others through their pain so they can find the way out as well.
